PEAR AND CHOCOLATE PIE

For a pie dish of 26 cm in diameter
Make a dough from
- 160 g flour
- 80 g cold butter cut into pieces
- A pinch of salt
- ½ ,dl water (add more if necessary to obtain a smooth dough
Cool dough for at least 30 minutes
Liquid filling
Mix
- 2 eggs
- 1.5 dl cream
- 1 pack vanilla sugar (or the seeds from a fresh vanilla pod)
- 1 table spoon sugar
Pie
- Spread out the dough,
- Break around 100 g dark cooking chocolate into little pieces. Spread these across the whole bottom of the dish
- Peel two pears (according to size), cut them into not too big slices or quarters
- Arrange them on the chocolate and then pour the liquid filling over this
- Bake for around 35 minutes at 200 degrees
Serve lukewarm, the chocolate will remain melted, which will make it even better!
This dessert will go along nicely with a Malvoisie Flétrie.
